We understand you might have concerns and inquiries about your dental treatment. You are most welcome to call us and discuss about your concern. We have prepared this section to answer most common questions that we have come across.

What is your payment policy?

  • Our policy is payment in full once treatment is completed.
  • We accept all major credit cards, cash and EFTPOS.
  • We provide easy payment options through our affiliation with Q Card & Sothern Cross Easy Claim

How much is for a filling, extraction or root canal treatment?

  • It is difficult to provide an exact quote for treatment over the phone. A price range can be given over the phone or through online enquiry.
  • We advise you to visit the practice so that the dentist can look at the problem and quote price precisely.

Are you open weekends or late nights?

  • We are open two late nights - Tuesday and Wednesday & on Saturdays.
  • Your phone calls will always be answered after business hours for advice on emergency care or appointment requirements.
  • Our goal is to build a fantastic relationship with our patients and their families and friends.

Do you see kids?

  • Yes we do. Children of all ages are able to be seen at our clinic including baby and toddlers.
  • Adolescents from year 9 until the age of 18 can be enrolled with the dental benefit scheme.
  • Younger children can be seen if it is an emergency & unable to be seen by their own school dental therapist and this will be covered under the government scheme.
  • Good oral health starts with establishing the right habits at an early age. If diagnosed early we can use preventive measures to reverse the damaged caused by early decay.

Do you see school children?

  • We provide a full range of treatment for both primary and high school children, with a strong emphasis on establishing excellent oral hygiene, diet awareness and preventive measures.
  • Your children from year 9 to year 13 can be treated under the OHSA scheme funded by the MOH.
  • For younger children we can treat them under the SDS scheme funded by the MOH for all emergency treatment when their regular dental therapist is not available.

When do I need to start brushing my child’s teeth?

  • As soon as a tooth erupts it needs to be cleaned twice a day.
  • Use a small toothbrush with a small head and soft bristles.
  • Even a soft cloth to wipe the teeth when a child is very young.

When do I need to start getting my child’s teeth checked?

  • From the age of two and a half, unless there is something particular of concern.

My child has had an accident and knocked their teeth, what do I do?

  • Ring the surgery as soon as you can and let us know what happened.
  • We will see you on the day of the accident to assess and document the trauma to the mouth.
  • Most of the fee for treatment will be covered by ACC and it is important that the accident is reported as soon as possible.
  • Even if there does not appear to be any damage, problems can arise later on such as the tooth turning a dark colour or abscessing and in the worst case damaging a permanent tooth that has not yet come through.
  • A traumatic injury to the teeth can have a very unpredictable outcome so it is always a good idea to have the accident checked out and documented.

Do you do whitening?

  • Yes we do. We use the opalescence system.
  • A consultation is required to confirm if you are a great candidate for whitening.
  • Once this is confirmed we will take impression and will make custom made trays for you to use with your bleaching system.
  • It is very simple with fantastic results.

Do you do orthodontics?

  • We will assess your case and organise your referral to an orthodontist.

Do you do extractions of teeth?

  • Yes we do. 
  • The removal of impacted wisdom teeth can be an involved procedure and best carried out by a specialist. A wisdom tooth is your third molar tooth and often there is not enough room in your mouth for them so they become impacted (jammed against another tooth or bone). 
  • We can recommend and organise a referral to an oral surgeon in your area.

Do you make dentures?

  • Yes we do and you will require a consultation first. 
  • We will discuss costs involved at the time of your appointment.

What is your patient satisfaction feedback process?

  • Our objective is to provide excellent service and care, and we value feedback from patients.
  • Receiving information from patients can alert the team to problems that may not previously been identified. 
  • Please pass on any comments or compliments you may have to the Practice Manager either via email, telephone or in writing, stating the nature of your complaint, the date relating to the incident and names of staff involved (if applicable).
  • The Practice Manager will acknowledge your complaint and advise when they will make contact with you again after investigating your complaint.
