Most common cause of concern for people is missing teeth. People have had teeth removed due to dental injuries, gum disease, cavities or even inherited trait. Also it is socially embarrassing and equally unacceptable to have missing teeth and gap showing when you smile or laugh.

Partial or Full dentures are one of the various options of filling the empty space. It is a removable appliance suitable as a short or long term teeth replacement. Once the denture has been fitted you may need to come back for minor adjustments, especially if an immediate denture is fitted post extraction.

When facing the decision of having full or partial dentures for upper and lower arch we will support you till the end and after the completion of your treatment.

There are two types of denture:
  • The plastic denture known fits on the gum and sometimes has a wire clasp that holds the denture in place.
  • Metal plate which is precise and fits exactly with clasp and rests on existing teeth.
What to expect after a denture fit appointment

Adapting to a new denture/plate can be challenging, especially if you have made a decision of having a full denture. Some people experience a change in their diet, eating habits and your speech make take a twist . If you have had immediate denture, you will experience a certain degree of pain/discomfort which is normal. You will also need supplies to care for your denture.

Some adjustments may be needed from time to time until they are very comfortable. We will provide all the necessary information on home care for your new denture and will be of assistance till the time you master the art of looking after them on your own.
